Wi-Fi QR code – card for your guest Wi-Fi

Guests scan and they're online. Wi-Fi card with your logo as an A6 print PDF, 4 on A4 or an image – your password stays in your browser.

With the free Wi-Fi QR card your guests get online without typing: point the phone camera at the code, done. Enter your network name and password, choose one of four designs with your logo and colour, and download a print-ready A6 card, four cards on A4 for your own printer, or an image. Your password never leaves your browser.

How it works

  1. Enter the name of your guest Wi-Fi and the password. If you like, name and password can also be printed as text.
  2. Choose design, colour and font, and upload your logo.
  3. Download the card as a print PDF (A6), as a sheet with four cards on A4, or as an image.

Guide: guest Wi-Fi that's safe and easy

Always use a separate guest network

Never give guests the password of your main network. Almost every router can create a separate guest Wi-Fi that's isolated from the rest. The German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) recommends this too.

Tills, card terminals, ordering tablets and office PCs never belong on the guest Wi-Fi. Keep them on their own separate network.

Keep guests apart

In your router, switch on the option that stops guest devices from seeing each other (often called “client isolation”). That way nobody can access other guests' phones.

Password: long enough, changed now and then

Use a long password that's still easy to type, for example three words and a number. Change it now and then, e.g. every season, and simply print a new card – you can save the draft as a file.

Tip: if the code doesn't work, check the upper and lower case of the network name. It must match the router exactly.

Where to put it?

The card is A6 (105 × 148 mm) and the code on it about 5 cm wide, so it scans from up to half a metre.

Which phones can do this?

The iPhone camera app and current Android phones recognise Wi-Fi codes directly and offer to join the network. On older Android devices Google Lens helps. For devices without a camera, name and password can be printed on the card as text.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Wi-Fi QR card free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no reference to us on the card. You only pay for printing, or you print it yourself.

Is my Wi-Fi password stored or sent anywhere?

No. The card is created entirely in your browser and the password is not sent to us. We only remember it in your draft if you explicitly switch that on.

What happens if I change the password?

The old code stops working. Simply create a new card with the new password and replace the old cards.

Does it work with WPA3?

Yes, with WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode, which almost all routers use. For a WPA3-only network, test the code with two different phones before printing.

What does “hidden network” mean?

A Wi-Fi whose name doesn't appear in the list. Only switch the option on if your network is set up that way.

Can I print the card myself?

Yes. Download “4 cards on A4”, print at actual size and cut along the crop marks. The cards are slightly reduced so your printer doesn't cut anything off.

Can I use special characters in the name or password?

Yes. Characters like ; , : " and \ are escaped automatically so phones read them correctly.
